Local Markets

I am a sucker for the French markets and love nothing better than to spend a morning in a local village, having a coffee whilst watching the bustle & listening to the wonderful buzz of the weekly market going on around me.

A visit to a market is inevitably a very sociable event and a great opportunity to stock up on fresh produce for the week, or pick up a nice piece of work from a local artisan. Not a day goes by without there being a market on somewhere in the area and there’s always a great choice.

From the wonderful Farmers’ Markets at Apt and Coustellet, to the colourful and extensive general markets in L’Isle Sur La Sorgue & Lourmarin, with the smaller, more intimate village markets in between – you certainly won’t be disappointed.
