From the wonderful Arts Festivals hosted across the area, the massive Brocante & Arts Fairs at L’Isle Sur La Sorgue & Carpentras and of course the biggest cycling event in the world,  to the smaller village events celebrating local produce there is always something going on to bring colour to life in Provence.

The Avignon Festival takes over the city centre for 3 weeks in July with about 1000 performances taking place at venues across the town, the streets alive with performers too.

Then in August thousands of visitors flock to the pretty town of Sault for the annual Lavender Festival, which fills the town with colour and (of course) scent.

There is the Chestnut Fair at Revest du Bion, the Fig Fesival at Caromb, Cherries at Caseneuve, Honey at Goult & Olives at Lagnes, amongst many others!

Even in the depths of Winter the towns along the South Coast come alive with colour & fun with the Fete du Citron at Menton and the incredible ‘Carnaval’ at Nice.

So far we’ve visited a few, but have a long list of others that we still want to get to.
